Within one year the neighborhood around Beyond Limits Training will be practically unrecognizable. What is now largely parking lots and the beginning of construction; will soon be a flourishing downtown community in the heart of the Discovery District. The above rendering is of the Neighborhood Launch Long Street Apartments, which will be located directly across the street from Beyond Limits. The first of three new buildings as shown above is to break ground across the street with a second apartment building going up between Normandy and 5th soon after the first 12-month project. More on this story at Columbus Underground.
Also, announced just this week was that the Hills Market Downtown grocery could be open as soon as October 2012! Beyond Limits members and staff alike are thrilled to have a great place to grab a good bite to eat right around the corner on Grant Avenue. Learn more about The Hills Market. The Grass Skirt Tiki Room is also set to open this summer right next door to Hills.
And that is not all! The Columbus College of Art and Design recently announced it’s addition to their campus just on the north side of Grant Avenue where the new Hills Market will be located. Demo and repurposing of existing buildings will surely help blend together the Discovery District community. Click here to view the Dispatch article on this plan.
